The most resort-like of the independent Cherating stays, and the one most families default to outside Club Med. A proper beachfront resort on the South China Sea with two big pools, a small kids’ water-play area, a spa and a beach restaurant — 134 rooms, so it has the facilities of a resort at a fraction of the all-inclusive price. It’s an older resort, so rooms vary — read recent reviews and, if you can, ask for a renovated or higher-floor room. The two pools are the real draw for families; the beach here is open South China Sea, so it’s for paddling and walking more than calm-lagoon swimming.
